Why I write

So this is a poem I wrote from one of the poetry prompts: Write a poem as if it were a letter to a friend. Here goes...

I open up my soul to you
With every stroke of this pen
My heart sings to you
My words are louder than my actions
My feelings are never hidden from you
You never judge me on how I look
You are here for me when no one else is
You make me feel better
You understand me more than anyone
With every stroke of this pen
I open up my soul
